Spalding Catholic, Granville Kevin Holzman, the Knights of Columbus Grand Knight, presented a check to TSA Advisor Kristine Full and Principal Brad Thiel at Spalding Catholic in Granville. Each year the Knights of Columbus sponsor an omelet breakfast to support the Technology Student Association program at Spalding Catholic. The money will be used to help cover the hotel costs for the state conference. Gehlen Catholic, Le Mars Twenty-five 5-7th Grade Gehlen Catholic vocal students participated in the Northwest Iowa Choral Directors Association Honor Choir Festival on April 29. The day began with a mass rehearsal and concluded with an evening concert at 7 p.m. at Eppley Auditorium on the Morningside College Campus. Gehlen Catholic's seventh graders included Alli Sitzmann, Shannon Smith, Katelin Langel, Abby Freking, Nicholle Britt, Ashley Kellen, Maggie Dickman, Elisabeth Niebuhr, Danielle Schmitz, Shelby Puhl, Adam Nilles, Jacob Begnoche, Lorenzo Tomasiello, Michael Whitehead and Derek Bretey. The sixth graders included Corey Sitzmann, Alexis Madsen, Sara Roder, Mitchell Flack, Madison Harpenau and Megan Livermore. The fifth graders included Carli Bollin, Michaela Bretey, Ben Fuentes and Aaron Britt. The Gehlen Catholic Elementary and Junior High Choir is under the direction of Beverly Evans. |
