Catholic schools celebrate graduations, baccalaureates

Catholic schools throughout the Diocese of Sioux City will have graduations and baccalaureates during May.

Bishop Garrigan High School, Algona - Baccalaureate is at 7 p.m., May 2, at Friedmann Auditorium at Bishop Garrigan High School. Graduation is 2 p.m., May 11, at Friedmann Auditorium. They have 52 seniors graduating. The valedictorian is Macy Fickbohm and salutatorian is Krissy Kohlhaas.

Kuemper Catholic High School, Carroll - Baccalaureate is at 1:30 p.m., May 14, at Holy Spirit Church. Graduation is at 1 p.m., May 18, in the Kuemper Catholic gymnasium. They have 97 seniors graduating. The valedictorian and salutatorian have not been announced.

St. Edmond High School, Fort Dodge - Baccalaureate is at 9 a.m., May 18, at Sacred Heart Church. Graduation is at 1 p.m., May 18, at St. Edmond Catholic School. They have 59 seniors graduating. The valedictorian and salutatorian have not been announced.

Gehlen Catholic High School, Le Mars - Baccalaureate is at 7 p.m., May 13, at St. James Church. Graduation is at 1:30 p.m., May 18, in the Main Gym. They have 36 seniors graduating. The valedictorian and salutatorian have not been determined.

Spalding High School, Granville - Baccalaureate is at 7:30 p.m., May 13, at St. Anthony's in Hospers. Graduation is 2 p.m., May 18, in the Spalding Catholic High School gymnasium. There are 23 seniors graduating. The valedictorian and salutatorian have not been announced.

St. Mary's High School, Remsen - Baccalaureate is at 6:30 p.m., May 7, at Remsen St. Mary's Church. Graduation is at 2 p.m., May 11, at Remsen St. Mary's High School. They have 25 students graduating. The valedictorian and salutatorian have not been announced.

Bishop Heelan High School, Sioux City - Baccalaureate is at 7 p.m., May 13, at St. Michael's Church, 2223 Indian Hills Drive. Graduation is at 2 p.m., May 18, at Long Lines Family Recreational Center, 401 Gordon Drive. They have 107 students graduating. The valedictorian is Hannah Louise Maly and salutatorian is Christina Marie Lopez.

St. Mary's School, Storm Lake - Baccalaureate is at 7 p.m., May 15, at St. Mary's Church. Reception will follow in the parish center for families. Graduation is at 1:30 p.m., May 18, in Saint Mary's School gym. They have 22 seniors graduating. The valedictorian is Justin Cullen and salutatorian is Annette Frank.
