SIOUX CITY COUPLE TO CHAIR BISHOP'S DINNER June 15, 2006The 2006 Bishop's Dinner for Catholic Education will be led this year by Jim
and Jameley Levich of Sioux City. The 2006 Bishop's Dinner marks the 10th
anniversary of this annual celebration of Catholic schools in the Diocese of
Sioux City and the first Jim and Jameley are both graduates of Bishop Heelan High School. The couple has three daughters, Jacquelyn Levich, Juliane Flanery and Jameley Levich all of whom attended Catholic schools in Sioux City. The Levichs are active members of Blessed Sacrament Church where both serve as Eucharistic Ministers. In addition, Jameley is a member of the board of the Carmelite Monastery and Jim serves on the Blessed Sacrament Parish Council, Blessed Sacrament Endowment Board and is a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Bishop R. Walker Nickless commended the Levichs for their support of Catholic schools. "I'm grateful that Jim and Jameley have graciously agreed to chair this year's dinner, said Bishop Nickless. "The Levich family has always been a great friend to Catholic schools and their generosity has had a positive impact on the success our schools have enjoyed." The Levichs are owners of Selective Petfood Services of Sioux City and Jameley also operates a dance studio at Prodigy Pre-School and Learning Center in Dakota Dunes. They called their selection as Chair Couple of the Bishop's Dinner a wonderful honor. "Catholic schools are vital to our diocese because the schools provide a God-centered education that helps build lasting relationships," said Jim Levich. Jameley Levich went on to say, "Catholic schools treat teachers and students with respect and teach the importance of sharing time, talent and treasure with one another." The Bishop's Dinner for Catholic Education is the major annual fundraiser for the Catholic schools in the diocese. Tickets for the October 22nd dinner will go on sale later this summer. As in past years, the dinner will be held at the Sioux City Convention Center. The guest speaker for the 10th annual dinner will be released in late summer. |
