CAYOCA 2004: Does your parish have a contact person?

Each year the Diocese of Sioux City hosts a Catholic youth camp known as CAYOCA. Hundreds of grade school-age students from across the diocese attend this camp which is held at Twin Lakes Christian Center near Manson.

As the diocese makes plans to send out materials and information to various contact persons for CAYOCA, organizers of the camp are concerned that some parishes, schools and/or clusters may not have a designated contact person to handle the camp information.

In years past there have been calls from parents who have wanted their children to attend camp and in some instances their particular parish or school did not have a contact person.

To avoid this problem in the future, the following list has been included.

Some of the smaller parishes use one person as the contact for an entire cluster.

Camp dates for 2004 are: 7th/8th grade service camp, May 28 - 31; 5th/6th grade session A, June 1 - 5; 3rd/4th grade session A, June 5 - 9; 5th/6th grade session B, June 9 - 13; and 3rd/4th grade session B, June 13 - 17.

The 2004 camp will be built on the theme, "Go make a difference." It will focus on the saints.
