celebrates outdoor Mass
June 12, 2003
Sioux City St. Boniface parishioners gathered for a special outdoor Mass at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 8 at the Grandview Park Bandshell in Sioux City. The Mass not only celebrated Pentecost but also the Feast of St. Boniface. Those who attended were asked to wear red, to bring non-perishable food for the needy and to bring a picnic lunch for their family.

Father Kevin Richter, pastor of St. Boniface Church, spoke during his homily about the significance of Pentecost. He particularly targeted the children present, asking them to come forward not only to hear the message but also to help him share it with the crowd.
