Bishop announces diocesan appointments, retirements

According to Canon 523, Bishop Daniel N. DiNardo hereby canonically appoints the following:

Rev. Brian J. Danner from administrator of St. Malachy Parish in Madrid to pastor of St. Malachy Parish in Madrid.

Rev. Msgr. R. Mark Duchaine from pastor of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Holstein and St. John the Baptist Parish in Quimby to pastor of St. Mary Parish in Mapleton and St. Mary Parish in Oto while remaining as Judicial Vicar of the Diocese of Sioux City and the Bishop's special Vicar for Canonical Affairs.

Rev. Michael J. Erpelding from faculty member of St. Edmond's High School in Fort Dodge with residence at Corpus Christi Church in Fort Dodge, Iowa to graduate studies in Canon Law at St. Paul University in Ottawa Canada leading to the Licentiate in Canon Law.

Rev. Msgr. Thomas M. Donahoe from pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Graettinger to retirement.

Rev. Dale J. George from pastor of St. Thomas Parish in Manson and St. Mary Parish in Pomeroy to retirement.

Rev. Alfred E. McCoy from active ministry in the Diocese of Sioux City and faculty responsibilities at Bishop Heelan High School in Sioux City to retirement. Father McCoy will continue his ministry of the Tridentine Mass at the Cathedral of the Epiphany and sacramental ministry at Briar Cliff University.

Rev. Francis J. Nemmers from pastor of St. John Parish in Onawa and St. Bernard Parish in Blencoe to retirement.

Rev. Leo L. Riesberg from pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Wall Lake to retirement.

Rev. J. Charles Yetmar from pastor of Holy Name Parish in Rock Rapids to retirement.
