Centennial
Campaign question of the week
Q. As a campaign volunteer in my parish, a couple mentioned that they want to make a personal commitment to the Centennial Campaign but would not be able to begin payments for at least a year. Do we have the flexibility to stagger pledge payments? A. Absolutely. Situations demand that we be as flexible as possible and recognize that the demands on families change on a constant basis. If someone asks to delay the start of their payments until 2003, we are more than willing to accommodate their request. As a campaign volunteer, it's essential we all remember the needs of the donor dictate our actions. Jim Wharton CENTENNIAL CAMPAIGN NOTES Congratulations to Father Paul McKane and Sacred Heart Church in Sutherland. Sacred Heart is the latest parish to exceed its centennial campaign goal. A special thanks to all of the hard work our parishes have done thus far. The widespread support the campaign has generated across the diocese is very encouraging. A handful of Bloc I parishes continue to wrap up their campaigns and the Bloc II parishes are in full swing. |
