The Cathedral of the Epiphany has announced a concert series this fall/winter, which will showcase the Cathedral’s vocalists and a Wech Orgelbau organ. The events are free and open to the public.
Arjan Breukhoven, organist, will perform at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 13 at Cathedral. He will also perform at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 15 at Immaculate Conception Church, Cherokee. Breukhoven will give concerts and conduct workshops in Orange City, Sioux Center and Sioux Falls, S.D., while in the area.
Born in Rotterdam, Breukhoven studied organ and church music at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. At the same time, he studied piano, singing, improvisation, and choir direction. Breukhoven gives a number of concerts as an international concert organist in Russia, Europe, and Australia. Along with his work as concert artist and church musician, he is the director of three Dutch Male choirs.
Cathedral will also host concerts on Nov. 2, Nov. 4 and Feb. 17.
