Five Saints Catholic Community will be hosting The 177 Project – a nationwide tour of eucharistic adoration and musicians.
The Oct. 27 event will be held at St. Cecelia Church, Algona, with the recitation of the rosary at 6:45 p.m., adoration at 7 p.m. and a concert at 8:15 p.m.
During the fall months, more than a dozen artists in Catholic music will split up into teams of two and visit all 177 dioceses in the U.S. The events will be centered around adoration, followed by a concert put on by the musicians traveling as part of the 177 Project.
Musicians John Tibbs and Dave Moore will be the worship artists in Algona.
During the event, attendees will have opportunities for confession, prayer and to engage with local and national ministries.
“It has been a few months since we took a group of our youth to the University of Steubenville Conference,” said Deacon David Penton of Algona. “Since then, we have been asked for an adoration opportunity like the one the young people experienced at the conference.”
The evening is free and open to the public, but does require a ticket for counting and raffle. Contact the St. Cecelia Parish office at (515) 295-3435 or at iTickets.com.
