Mercy to host seminar on physician-assisted suicide

Mercy Medical Center – Sioux City and Mercy Health Network will host a continuing education opportunity, “Physician-Assisted Suicide: a Right or a Wrong?”

The free seminar will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., Sept. 11, in the Leiter Room at the hospital. A meal is provided.

Speakers are: Lauris Christopher Kaldjian, M.D., Ph.D., Department of Internal Medicine and Program in Bioethics and Humanities at the University of Iowa and Janine Marie Idziak, Ph.D., professor emerita of philosophy and director, Bioethics Center, at Loras College, Dubuque.

Registered nurses and medical providers will receive  credit  for attending.
