Baby Borkowski2

Guess what…God is Good

When my husband and I got married almost two and a half years ago, one of the most common questions we were asked was about us having children. This a common question for most couples who just got married.

This question was something I got kind of tired of answering after being married for a while because the answer wasn’t that I didn’t want children, but that it was going to be very hard for me to have children. How do you explain that to people who don’t know you very well or who you don’t want to explain the whole situation to? What can you say other than “I don’t know if I can have children?”

After a while, we got the doctors involved to help find a solution to what was going on. I have been to a specialist and to more doctors’ appointments than I thought were possible.

However, I do acknowledge that there are others in my life who have gone through more and for longer. I don’t want people to think I am saying this has only happened to me. It definitely has not! I pray for all of you out there going through what I have gone through and more.

Well, after a couple years of PRAYING, trying and seeing doctors, I took a pregnancy test and it read – POSITIVE. I was in shock and sometimes still think I am in shock.

I can FINALLY say, I AM PREGNANT!! As of today, May 2, I am 20 weeks along and halfway through my pregnancy. Baby Borkowski is due Sept. 19, 2018. Such a blessing!!

My husband, Rodney, and I are elated!! This child will have no lack of love and affection once he or she arrives.

This brings me to the most recent popular question I have been answering – Are you going to find out what you’re having? The answer is no we are not finding out. We believe this is one of the last true surprises in life and we want to be surprised when the little one enters the world.

God is GOOD!!

Please pray for Rodney and me as we embark on this journey of parenthood. We definitely need it! I will be offering updates on the pregnancy, the baby and of course the garden that we finally started planting this past weekend. Have a blessed day!

Katie and Rodney! Love your whole story, and how you tell it, with excitement, gratitude, and compassion. I’ll be following along as we (Dan and I) wish you the best!
